The author of a viral Reddit thread alleging fraud at a food delivery company tried to back up his claim by sending me AI-generated documents. The whistleblower, for his part, worked to amp up the pressure. He told me he had shared the document with other reporters, putting me into a competitive crunch. He asked when I thought I would publish. I asked him if he could point me to any current or former coworkers of his who could help me understand the document better. “Not really,” he said. By this point, alarm bells were starting to ring. I wondered if the employee badge the whistleblower had shared with me might have been AI-generated. While AI systems are notoriously unreliable at identifying their own outputs, Google Gemini can detect SynthID watermarks embedded in images that it produces. I uploaded the badge to Gemini and asked if Gemini had made it. “Most or all of this image was edited or generated with Google AI,” it said.

Hi there, and welcome to #FridayFucksorSucks, a weekly game with simple rules - guns fuck, or they suck.

This week, the Techno Arms Mag-7, a pump action shotgun with pistol grip magazines designed to run shortened 2.2" shells. Available with folding or wood stock, the guns were meant for CQB.
Arguably the "truest intention" version is the SBR with the folding stock. This is also the rarest arrangement. Also note the 2.2" shotgun shells that are specially made for the Mag-7. More common were versions like this, the SBR with the wood stock. Far more common in the real world are models like this, with an extended barrel to make it not an NFA item and significantly easier to transfer in exchange for losing a lot of the utility. The real difficulty is it uses 12 Gauge "60 mm" shells, shown here, which are 2.2 inches. "Real" ammo feeds properly. You can make your own similar ammo by cutting down 2.75" shells, or you can buy 1.75" shells and accept it won't run 100% when feeding, but you can't buy new 60mm shells in the US at the moment.

There are no iron sights in this photo. There are at least two independent sighting systems on each of these rifles (the middle has three). The middle and the right don't need batteries to use their primary sight.

Redundant sighting systems are good. Optics are best in most cases.
