12 Angry Men is a great play/movie. But isnt it an example of what judges and lawyers DON'T want juries doing?

The thing is: his seat is comfortably republican, and even moreso after the redistricting.

I'm honestly not sure why he's not seeking re-election.

I can't imagine he cares all that much about being in the minority.
BREAKING: Another MAGA Congressman dropping out of 2026 because they know it will be a wipeout:

Texas GOP Rep. Troy Nehls won’t seek reelection

lol they act guilty, because they are

what morons
So, Hegseth illegally ordered everyone killed in the first alleged drug boat strike on Sept. 2, prompting a second hit to finish off survivors in the water. — This is the real reason why Trump & Hegseth absolutely freaked out about the video against illegal orders.

The quality of each season of Stranger Things is frankly remarkable. Yes the show treads familiar grown, but you can forgive it because while the stakes increase and the visual effects get more expensive, the show never loses track of its characters.

Season 5 is great, so far.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

All this anxiety about Texas Dems not coalescing to create a unified slate is hilarious to me. I'm old enough to remeber the "dream team" in 2002.

dear Astros,

It's our turn to get a cyborg from Japan.
Tatsuya Imai brought the "I come to bury Ohtani, not to praise him," vibes in an interview with Daisuke Matsuzaka last night.

The Seibu Lions ace doesn't want to join the Dodgers, he wants to beat them. Thanks to Ayako Oikawa for help translating: www.mlb.com/news/tatsuya...
Ace pitcher Tatsuya Imai wants to 'take down' the Dodgers to win a World Series
When the news broke that Seibu Lions ace Tatsuya Imai was posted, many Major League fans had one question: Would he also want to join the Dodgers? After all, not only is Los Angeles arguably the close...

we should be embarrassed and ashamed as a people
ICYMI: I spoke with CBS Sunday Morning about my book, There Is No Place for Us, alongside the families whose desperate efforts to secure housing the book follows—people working nonstop and still being pushed into homelessness.
When the employed are pushed into homelessness
In America we are taught hard work is the key to success. But despite having full-time jobs, many families are locked out of the rental housing market, due to low wages, soaring rents and poor credit,...

Signaling he is worried the release of the Epstein emails will peel off Republican support, Trump responds by saying only “a very bad, or stupid, Republican would fall into that trap” of responding and calls the issue of the rape and sexual trafficking of underaged girls a “deflection”:

I don't think it's even right to say the voting public doesn't care. I think the truth is a lot of voters may generally find trans identity moderately confusing but also *none of their business*.

on the other hand, they find an obsession with harming trans people - say it with me - deeply weird.
Spanberger’s GOP foe spent 57% of her ad budget on anti-trans attacks. Spanberger focused on the economy. You see what won. trib.al/fkMmsR4

The simple truth told time and time again in the polls: The public doesn’t care about trans issues. Voters care deeply about the economy, inflation, & prices.

This was me in August 2018, running for Congress.

I was right back then, and I am still right.

Maybe the GOP jacking up health care premiums to astronomical numbers will open people’s eyes.

Medicare for all is the only rational and morally decent health care policy.

If the Tigers had any sense at all, they'd make a serious run at Tucker
There's like an 80% chance it happens, but I simply cannot abide Kyle Tucker in a yankees uniform

That game mostly proves just how pitcher friendly the ballpark in Seattle really is

Why does the broadcast team on the Cubs/Brewers games sound like their standing 5 feet away from their microphones?

Obvs this is a different (old) topic:

But I'm still baffled why Crane didn't just keep Click and Dusty around for at least another 2 seasons after the WS.
When Dusty left it was definitely time to move on. He’s old and should enjoy his retirement. I had NO issue with them moving on from Dusty when they did. I just think undermining him with anonymous quotes local press was really crappy

Turns out I was pretty spot on with my win total prediction

That we got to that number with all the injuries they've sustained is a testament to how strong the foundation of this team is, and that includes manager Joe Espada, Dana Brown, and strong veteran leaders.
87 wins sounds about right, only cuz the division is bad

grade: D
September 28, 2025 at 9:33 AM
fun looking back in this
If the Astros stopped anymore moves right now and went with this squad for the season, how many wins do they have in 2025?

How would you grade this offseason?
September 28, 2025 at 9:27 AM
Newsflash Astros fans: they might be a bad team
They absolutely are not, they are trash and will get eliminated in two games likely with 0 runs, but they care
September 27, 2025 at 4:43 AM
A frustrating, injury riddled season likely came to an end today.

I look forward to 2026.
The Astros lost 4-3. They are 85-75.

Mike Trout hit two home runs, including a dagger in the eighth inning off Bryan King. The Astros went 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position. Their elimination number is 1.
