This is true, and on their wish list with other changes that seem too far fetched to happen - yes here we are.
This has been a goal of the far right for decades. Eliminate the 1st Amendment. The worst kept secret in all of politics was how the right wants to get control of enough state legislatures in order to convene a Constitutional Convention and rewrite the Constitution.
