Been #sewing like a fiend lately for my #cosplay. Mostly the unglamorous parts of sewing like altering, patterning, layout, and cutting. I’ve spent hours getting pieces on-grain, stabbing myself with pins, and dodging my own rotary cutter.

Please pre-wash your fabrics as much as you can. They’re often treated with chemicals as a last step, and I’ve seen someone have a horrible reaction to an unwashed costume piece once.

If you buy second-hand, you definitely need to pre-wash.
