The "follow" dichotomy I always struggle with is "I want to see every single thing you post" vs. "I want you to know that I like and respect you." My Following feed is so overstuffed as it is, but I hate the idea that people I don't follow back might think that I don't appreciate them!

And the strong reporting hasn’t come only from legacy outlets such as the Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago Tribune but also from newer independent media such as Block Club Chicago, the TRiiBE, Borderless, Unraveled, and South Side Weekly.

There is nothing like being there and seeing things with your own eyes, which is why local journalism is so important.

Attacked & arrested protesters at the Broadview detention center w/the help of the ISP other agencies

Tear gassed a street in Logan Square that has a grocery store & elementary school on it, among other things

Why Is This Democratic Senator Voting to Confirm a Trump Judicial Nominee?

If you really think Trump poses an existential threat to democracy, the bar for affirmatively supporting one of his nominees has to be higher than “I don’t know, he seems fine.”

My initial thought is always "they'll have to follow speed limits and stop at stop signs, immediately a huge safety upgrade," and then my follow-up thought is "will they actually have to do that? or will users be able to override those defaults and tell their cars to speed?"
