A reminder that my friend Amar made me a calligraphy that spells Sangga Buana ("pillar of the world"), an auspicious cat type mentioned in Javanese cat manuscript Serat Katuranggan Kucing. He used Pegon script (Malay Arabic) to form the shape of the cat.

I've got a really important presentation on Monday and a story to write, so I built a cardboard theatre for my cat.
A tiny tabby kitten (half Bengal) with blue eyes sits on a cardboard stage. In front of him you can see cardboard seats, cardboard curtains and little cardboard comedy and tragedy masks. Behind the kitten is a tiny set featuring a castle wall, suggesting the opening scene from Hamlet.
