FYI, if you're interested in something romantasy-ish and gay that involves an arranged marriage and zombies/sort-of-werewolves??, here's a self-published novel that is rare in that it is well-written lol.

sorry, these covers are ass. Give an artist $20k to make them look like this, George. I know you've got the spare change.

these women are deeply pathetic and I almost feel bad for them.

alright one more thing about heated rivalry and then I'll shut up about it: I really loved Kip's dad. Probably the first dad I've seen who is allowed to be as sweet and affectionate as a mother, and my heart was so full.

folks sometimes you get way too invested in the personal pain of your blorbos and you think "no one will be as pained by this as I am and that makes me even sadder".

watched the gay hockey show and took the time to color some art. Still a WIP, but I'm kinda diggin' how it's coming out.

posting on social media and doing soul-crushing marketing is the hard part. Fuck off with that. But WRITING is easy and life-giving. you know that arabic poem about speaking her name over his grave and watching him come to life? That's me, but with writing lol.

NGL I laughed my way through the latter half of this chapter and just enjoyed the whole set-up. New sitcom: Everything Hates Jafkar, lol.

I tested this machine using the thread that was still on the bobbin of this machine, and the tension was fine, despite the fact the thread was probably 60 years old and oily as hell. I had issues for a while but fixed it by tightening a screw on the stitch length bar.

this bitch sews! Anyway, if someone wants a cheap and completely refurbished antique sewing machine made in 1913 that'll sew through tough-ish materials, lemme knowwwwww.
December 7, 2025 at 7:55 PM
ain't no reason for this, they just do this sort of thing because they can.
December 7, 2025 at 4:56 PM
this is what the machine looked like when I got it, btw. That's what I call a glow up.

This is what it looked like before the shellac. Honestly it didn't look terrible without it, but this way the decals have more protection so that sewing things doesn't wear them off.
December 7, 2025 at 4:02 AM
she so shiny!!

I tried a french polish for the first time and it worked pretty well! A few of the decals got a little bit silvered but other than that, I think it looks nice. It was never meant to be this shiny, but at least I got off a bunch of old, dirty shellac. She is DONE now!

I already made the hoop skirt, chemise, and bloomers, so that's why I felt like making a Belle costume, so I can just re-use the stuff I already made. The corset however needs to be built; I only have 18th century stays atm.

the great thing about Disney animated films is that the details are pretty muddled, so you can just make whatever kinda thing you want. I want to do an 1850s/1850s ballgown. It'll capture the spirit of the animated dress I think.

a shame i never got to the real heart wrenching shit lol.

years later i still think this part of Justin's interlude is really nice (and sad lol)

these are the two best expressions I've ever drawn, ngl. and of course it's Essie and Dot. it's always Essie and Dot.
December 6, 2025 at 5:03 PM
honestly? I'd kill for a Marwari horse in a movie about English colonization of India!
December 6, 2025 at 2:59 AM
if you're going to just shove an Andalusian in any movie that requires a pretty horse the least you could do is offer me up an Akhal-Teke or something. Impress me with your inaccuracy! Like why is a horse from Turkmenistan in this medieval England movie? Because I said so.
December 6, 2025 at 2:59 AM
at least I don't see any Arabians in movies about medieval England, lol. not majestic enough for Hollywood I guess. then again, you could make sense of it, if Crusaders brought Arabian horses back with them after all their raping and plundering.
December 6, 2025 at 2:59 AM
i'd kill for a fucking Dale pony for once, you know? They're perfectly majestic! Hell, I'd take a Thoroughbred. English people love Thoroughbreds and they're fucking everywhere.
