Alright, fine, I'll waste half an hour of my time creating a thread of all my books on Patreon. Starting with: Kept Man. Based in Miami, it's about Carlos meeting a rich dude's trophy boyfriend, Alex. First chapters are free! wandawalkerwrites.wordpress.com/2019/04/01/k...
people mad about people reading bikes on sidewalks are welcome to ride their bikes on this road! Have fun with it! Cuz this is the road I sidewalk-ride and I'm not ashamed of this thing called "not wanting to die".
every tweet I've seen from this woman is a total banger.

this is why when people say "oh the tiktok algorithm is soooo good" i don't believe them. people seem to be very easily entertained.
all instagram would have to do is show me pictures of horses or sewing machines and I'd be there. instead it's just reel after reel of some pretty art stuff being done. the same thing, over and over and over again. it's interesting for like 5 minutes and that's it.
i keep hearing about sophisticated social media algorithms that keep you on the platform but lemme tell ya, whatever Instagram's is definitely isn't that.

Don't trust a New York Times reporter. Don't talk to a New York Times reporter. They are the most ambitious journalists on the planet and will do anything to get the story their editor wants. The truth doesn't matter to them, only getting the story their editor wants so they can move up.
heads up to anyone who holds trans kids near: amy harmon from the nyt is searching for and having a hard time finding people to interview to find out exactly what trans kids are doing when their care is limited or cut off, and for purposes of community safety, please shut the fuck up around her.
Wow, that's great! My parents are in semi-nearby Gettysburg, so I know how that area can be >_>

Oh my GOD. The song that Rudy Giuliani used in his anti-Zohran post is fucking AI-generated.

It's a song called "September 11, 2001" and it's from some AI slop factory called The Experience. You need to hear how bad this song is.

The Times parsed the vote using similar categories and again found that the single most determinative factor economic-like factor in the election was "commute by transit" vs "commute by car." It edged out renters vs. homeowners. There's still outstanding data but I expect these trends will hold.

This needs more attention: Zohran SPLIT the straights with Cuomo. ALL of his margin was from LGBTQ+ voters. Every Dem who ever said “we should abandon the transes” needs this shoved down their fucking throat with a ramrod.

A 34-year-old as a politician: My god he's like a baby. It's like they just elected an infant to be their mayor.

A 34-year-old as an athlete: You have to admire the bravery of him attempting that dunk, knowing full well the grim reaper is right behind him.

I've always loved this anecdote from Mira Nair, filmmaker and mother of Zohran Mamdani, about pitching a studio exec on MISSISSIPPI MASALA (1991) and being told he'd only fund it if it had more white people

"I said, 'Well, all the waiters in this film will be white. Of that, I can promise you.'"
i wasn't making fun of her, I thought it was cute 😭

A pro-ICE sheriff in a purple Philly suburban county got the boot as well.

Feel like law enforcement races are the ones least likely to flip to Dems, but last night even those did.

And a pro-ICE sheriff lost in a county that is 80% white. So this wasn’t just the cratering of Hispanic GOP support.

mamdani is human. he'll fuck up and fail, especially with a hostile press and the giant mess that is nyc's politics. but today is a great day for the brave women who told what cuomo did, and for those of us who care that it should matter. that power shouldn't go to those who hurt the poweless.
I'm happy that Mamdani won. But I won't let that get in the way of my celebrating Cuomo losing.
