Amidst all the what-ifs and consternation surrounding the #Canucks, they are actually looking better at center, assuming Rossi pans out. If they're truly going with youth, then maybe Cootes is promoted after WJC.

EP40, Rossi, Cootes and Rãty/Blueger. I'd love it if Chytil got healthy, but ... 🤷‍♂️

I am not easily moved to fits of hyperbole, but the Quinn Hughes trade absolutely should be the last thing this management team does, and they should be fired. I had a lot of hope for Rutherford and it's gone now.

Problem is the owner only thinks short-term and is fucking clueless.

Bains doesn't belong anywhere near an NHL roster. Right now though, I guess the #Canucks really don't have an NHL roster.

Listening to BC Today on CBC, taking calls about the possibility of banning right turns on red lights, and the idiocy is astounding. A lot of people think moving 'stuff' is more important than safety.

Force drivers to change, and make it financially crippling to disobey by using red light cameras.

Perhaps they should stop the clock in soccer when nothing is happening and just play 90 minutes, instead of somewhat random "extra time" tacked onto each half. It's a lovely game but some of the rules, and the histrionics, and faking injures, bugs the ever-loving fuck out of me.

How the fuck can Public Mobile - entirely online with no phone support - have such a horrid account creation process? If you click 'change plan' and return, everything resets. A valid CC results in endless failed payment errors. It's over $20 more a month for more data I don't need with Telus.

This is probably the most lights and decorations I've put up in years, and likely just about the earliest as well. I guess I'm inspired by the decorations around our new neighborhood, and being in our new home.

No deaths in a year

That's pretty incredible, given the severity of the toxic drug crisis in BC this past decade
This club sold to 47 adult members and it seemed to work. After one year of operation members reported fewer overdoses, incidents with police, hospital visits, crime. There were no deaths.
Having a dedicated source of known potency and purity seemed to help stabilize people.

We live in a society awash in wealth. Big banks and big oil pull in tens of billions while public needs go unmet.

We need leaders willing to where the money is. A 1% tax on the wealthiest 1% could raise billions for strong, universal public services.

"Mounties say the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene."

Nothing like reporting that the driver did the bare minimum they are legally required to do as though they are heroic or something.

This is basically right down the street from us.

At least Guilbeau had the decency to resign over the Carney-Smith deal.

What about Julie Dabrusin? I don't think I'd even ever heard of Canada's Environment Minister until I looked up who it was.

If she is a lightweight, it makes all the more sense now. Seems Canada's gov't is a one-man show.
Eye on the ball folks! It seems the pipeline piece may well be a distraction. While a pipeline remains very unlikely, the practical impact of this deal are all the immediate concessions to oil & gas industry & the federal abandonment of core climate policies.

BREAKING: Alberta gets its way in deal with Ottawa
A newly signed memorandum of understanding gives Alberta almost its entire list of demands, from the removal of regulations to the fast-tracking of a pipeline.

Further, if you don't realize by now that the problem is mostly ownership and partly mismanagement, I don't know what to tell you.

Management takes their marching orders from the one who cuts the cheques. When the owner is fucking clueless, it's fully dysfunctional.
This is, essentially, the #Canucks admitting that the playoffs are already out of reach.

Personally I would like them to tear it down and fully rebuild. Tinkering repeatedly has not worked.

Gut it.
