Disturbing - according to my theory dark energy is associated with unrealized future paths, unrealized worlds. This includes each and every human's possible future paths.

Been worried about dark energy weakening ever since I realized it's relationship with our collective futures.
If the mounting evidence of weakening dark energy holds up, it would upend cosmologists’ understanding of our ultimate destiny. @walkingthedot.bsky.social reports:

“Keystone species” aren’t abundant. But if they’re removed, entire ecosystems could collapse. “Keystone molecules,” similarly, are rare. These chemicals structure, shape and alter connections across entire ecosystems.

Modern philosophy too much Apollo, not enough Dionysus.

Scientific institutions have a long history of anticipatory obedience
Societies should learn from this and speak up to support inclusion

Makes me think of the ice, when it goes - how much of who we are goes with it? We have and would adapt in a way the Nanuq cannot. Will we be like the polar bear, a shadow of what we are?
I think this piece, for which I am getting emails from strangers who liked it, is the reason for why Twitter/X suspended my account. It's probably for the best!

In general agree.

I have first drafts of ideas that are almost unintelligible to anyone but myself. I knew what I was trying to communicate. I understood the thing I was trying to communicate but didnt have the words or framework to communicate them. It does often indicate the maturity of thought.
Clarity of writing very often reflects clarity of thought. When you see inscrutable text, particularly in your own field, there’s a good chance the authors didn’t truly understand it either

Len says one steady pull more ought to do it.
He says the best way out is always through.
And I agree to that, or in so far
As that I can see no way out but through–
Leastways for me–and then they’ll be convinced.
