This movie was so raw and confusing at the same time. The bond between the protagonist and her cruel mother, how she is treated as a kid to her with no freedom. The violence, the psychology... I felt that her student and the student mother's could also been foreshadowing young Erika and her mother.

the discourse on the piano teacher (2001) is very strange to me because erika is living a life that is very common to a lot of women and many do not realize that this pain that lives inside her makes her act in terrible ways she’s a victim and not a villain i heavily empathize with her
