PBS has lost $1.1 billion in funding.

Although it would take over 18 million new subscribers to cover the loss, ANY subscribers to PBS Passport will help.

It is only $5 a month.

And there are many shows on PBd you may be interested in!

ICYMI: The GOP is trying to pass Permitting Reform legislation that would gut protections for Tribes and communities to oppose strip mining and oil and gas drilling.

These lands have been protected by Tribal treaty rights since the 19th Century. How is this America First?

FEMA must read the contamination reports and face the facts: this isn’t “naturally occurring.” 55+ wells contaminated with arsenic, manganese, antimony—heavy metals likely tied to a fire started by the federal government.

Seriously, if you can spare $5 a month, please, please, please 🙏 donate to PBS.

$5 a month/$60 a year gets you access to PBS Passport, which has a lot more back episodes available than PBS's free streaming service.
“Rockefeller told staff in September that the loss of WETA’s CPB Community Service Grant created a $6.7 million budget shortfall for FY26 and a projected $9 million shortfall for FY27.” And if that holds, I’m not sure how much of the NewsHour will be left by 2028. People need to grasp how bad it is.

This is better than what I was taught, "Never put anything in an email you wouldn't want on the evening news."

I put lots of things in emails I wouldn't want on the evening news, but would feel comfortable (if a little embarrassed) reading to a jury.

Seeing a few comments about “dead rapists bringing down living rapists”.

Let’s be clear.

It’s not Epstein that has Trump and MAGA on the defensive. It’s not Epstein that had a former Prince stripped of his title.

It’s the survivors of Epstein’s abuse. It’s the women who refused to be silent.

I wish they'd focus in practical capabilities for robots instead of "looks and moves like a humanoid."

What would be most useful, imo, is a robot that can assist someone fragile out of bed, out of a recliner, and off the toilet. And recognize when someone is on the floor and call 911.

Also, if you are just rewording MAGA talking points, maybe reconsider?
Weird how at some point the ACA subsidies went from meaningless technocrat babble that it was obviously incredibly stupid for Democrats to try protecting to being incredibly important for helping people avoid suffering.

And Democrats managed to get it wrong both times!! What were the odds?
