"Incoherent rage" is the best-fit description for them.

The White House Antifa Roundtable is one of the best displays I’ve seen of this-is-how-bad-it’s-gotten — just a sewer of open fascism, dementia, morons and freaks, and incoherent rage.

So cool that whenever someone asks the president, “did you eat the Lindbergh baby” he’s like, “no but I’d be allowed to, I have the right to, I might do it later”

... and the unicyclists dressed as Darth Vader in a kilt, with flamethrower bagpipes. Don't forget those.

Jonathan Rinderknecht, a white man, was charged with starting the Palisades Fire. But on X, the company's news summary tab shows a photo of a black man.

The elimination of USAID is a moral atrocity and all involved made a choice to enable, and then lie about, ending the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in the world.
MAE SOT, Thailand (AP) - Mohammed Taher clutched the lifeless body of his 2-year-old son and wept. Ever since his family's food rations stopped arriving at their internment camp in Myanmar in April, the father had watched helplessly as his once-vibrant baby boy weakened, suffering from diarrhea and begging for food.
On May 21, exactly two weeks after Taher's little boy died, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio sat before Congress and declared: "No one has died" because of his government's decision to gut its foreign aid program. Rubio also insisted: "No children are dying on my watch."
That, Taher says, "is a lie."

Just needs the Unipiper riding by on his unicycle in Darth Vader costume, playing the Darth Vader theme on flaming bagpiples.

(The "Keep Portland Weird" sign in the background is apparently a favorite.)

Over the weekend, Trump's deputy chief of staff for policy Stephen Miller repeatedly attacked judges, calling them part of an "organized terrorist attack" on the US government....

On Saturday, the home of a judge who ruled against Trump, went up in flames

US political violence is very much a right-wing phenomenon. Multiple studies bear this out.

The Jasko, et al. study below is particularly impressive. But even the Cato Institute agrees that it's mostly right-wing.

the article in the QT is solid & if you’re cis & don’t get exactly how grim headlines like “supreme court poised to overturn conversion therapy ban,” please know that the international council for the rehabilitation of torture victims (ICRT) considers conversion therapy torture.

because it is.

About 1 in 3 US Nobel prize winners are immigrants.
About 1 in 4 were government employees at some point.
About 44% of all Nobel prize winners were educated in US higher education.
As Trump demands a Nobel prize, he is destroying the means by which America came to dominate the prizes.

Two things of note in today's announcement of the 2025 Nobel physics prize (besides the work being honored).

1: The US institutional dominance of the prize continues.
2: 2 of the three laureates are immigrants, drawn here decades ago by the then-unmatched opportunities for science here...

One should assume, if one had not already, that every single thing the GOP has to say about pretty much anything is a lie or fabrication.

In the Talmud, R Tarfon advised a sense of perspective. While we are obligated to do the work, it is too big for anyone to finish:

"You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it.” — Rabbi Tarfon, Pirkei Avot 2:16, Talmud
