1/ An interview with Bridget Phillipson. She is still doing “dignity and respect”. She said she ran a woman’s refuge and argues it is one thing that can exclude trans woman.

Okay, cool, then why don’t you amend Schedule 3 right now so that refuges becomes the only kind of exempted services?

• Submit complaints using our guide on BBC articles that use degrading or misleading language about trans people

This language causes harm, and the law recognises that misgendering can be discriminatory. If we don’t challenge it, it becomes normalised.

The BBC is really showing its arse with its editorial guidelines recommending the use of a pseudoscientific dogwhistle in reporting that mentions trans people.

It's important that they're not allowed to continue using fake-scientific insults in peace.

New piece:

‘Biological male’ is a pseudoscientific dogwhistle
The BBC should be better than this.

The papers are slowly waking up to quite how significant is @goodlawproject.bsky.social's challenge to the transphobic EHRC's interim guidance. If we succeed it's hard to see how its draft statutory guidance can be lawful.

I just read NHS England’s response to the Levy Report. It looks good at first glance. Now I’m reading the full report.

Today the findings of the Levy Review into adult trans healthcare have been published.

We’re still digesting the report in full, and will be discussing its findings with trans-led organisations.

Last week, the media declared a “partial victory” for Sandie Peggie, who sued the NHS for letting a trans colleague use the women’s changing room. In fact, the case was a flop. The gender-critical movement might be persuading journalists, but it’s failing with judges 🧵

Running around with their hair on fire

2025 is ending better than it started for trans people.

The nonsensical FWS Supreme Court Judgment on 16 April 2025 was definitely a low point, both for trans people and the UK judiciary.

The transgender roller-coaster. Waking up to blue skies.

Some thoughts intended to provoke discussion.

HR departments countrywide need to start treating gendercrit employees as potentially hostile. As soon as you are required to interact with one, you dust off the rulebook, you dot every eye and cross every t, and you assume bad faith at every turn.

They are a threat to every organisation.

It's disgusting how the BBC refer to trans women in their news reporting. It's so obvious that it's being done deliberately. Fucking scum organisation!!

Mini thread on the ET decision in Peggie

Top line: It says exactly what we have been saying for months. The decision of the Supreme Court was not to turn the Equality Act 2010 into a nationwide bathroom ban - regardless of how anti-trans organisations have sought to misrepresent the law.

Anti-trans groups have used the tactics of weaponsing 'legal risk' to bully organisations into removing their trans-inclusive policies. They are misrepresenting the law, creating fear, & using the uncertainty of the SC ruling to succeed in this. Blanket bans need to be faced with legal challenges.
