Salisbury is a terrific find Chris, for I appreciate what I call conflict art esp WW1. A Portrait artist like Orpen yet I cannot readily find if he went to France like Orpen & maybe why I overlooked him. Must find out more.
His Boy Cornwell is a superb painting esp. if you know his story.

One of the prettiest light paintings I've seen for a while, but this target photo was taken over Kassel 22/23 October 1943. Bomber Command aircraft created a firestorm and around 10,000 people died on the ground. 43 aircraft were lost and 240 aircrew were killed.
