If I may gently recommend, you should make sure to eat and drink and still be prepared for the snow storm coming. Scrolling will only go so far to keep you informed, and continuous scrolling can only make you less healthy. You stay healthy so you can keep fighting.

This is within my very specific niche, but friends in America, take the time to write up a caretaking guide for your pets. Make sure more than one person has access to your house key (I have a spare with a couple neighbors) and let folk know who to contact in case anything happens to you.💕🐾

I’m usually so bad at taking my own advice, but I’m gonna hang onto this one because I still feel this way. Art by itself won’t save us by itself, but community can. And I think it will.
Not to be unkind, but I am so impatient about the “what’s the point of making my little zines/comics/crafts/art when the world is on fire” sentiments. I get it, but saving the world is not a responsibility shouldered by your art! That’s what being a neighbor, a friend, and hell, a citizen is for!!!

Pro tip: Use video rather than photos when using reference material. Especially when trying to establish your gesture. Watch how the subject moves and scrub between frames to really get a sense of what you are drawing. Next best thing would be drawing from life Ofcourse, but we all can’t do that.
