Something that many (at least online) seem to forget it how high this man was flying in January and where he is now. Yes he is richer and still terrible but the Tesla protests pierced the sense that he was beyond reach. And that matters a lot. Thanks to everyone who joined those ongoing protests.
Elon Musk promised a lot of things by 2025

- colonists arriving on Mars
- xAI achieving AGI
- Tesla robotaxis serving half the U.S.
- completely driverless robotaxis
- a Tesla Roadster demo
- DOGE cutting trillions

none of them happened

Everything Elon Musk promised in 2025, but didn't deliver
Musk is now infamous for his false promises, but even this is excessive.

“The rate of deaths per year in the correctional facilities has been on the rise even though the number of people being held in the prisons has declined, the records show. Last year the death count hit 144 — the highest number in the past seven years.”

ChatGPT repeatedly encouraged a mentally ill man’s extreme paranoia and delusions of violence, and then he murdered his mother and killed himself. What has to happen for these chatbots to be regulated?

Sad day in the Port. One of the brightest lights in the city got taken by a drunk driver this morning. Never gonna see 12:30 without seeing the lines Alec left behind. Canvas street or park, everyone who was lucky to know Alec has a special line on their heart.

This story likely got overlooked over the holiday rush. I’m an MSI grad and these programs provided support that helped me get where I’m at today. MSIs are already underfunded & overlooked, this decision will likely exacerbate these issues.
ICYMI | The Department of Justice has declared a slew of Department of Education programs and grants unconstitutional based on the Supreme Court’s decision in Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard and the University of North Carolina.

THIS.
i would again like to remind everyone that NEGATING A FRAME REINFORCES IT

"he's not really targeting criminals" makes it an argument about criminality

"this is a fascist attack" states what is actually happening

START WITH WHAT IT IS
not what it isn't

if y'all haven't read something about art worth pausing and making a quick voicemail to record and share it, that's sad but [gestures around at all this] understandable. if y'all are just too lazy to click thru for the number, fine. it's 34-SOUVENIR.

I'm compiling another volume of Phone It In, an art writing mixtape. So if you find a nice, great, or compelling bit of art-related text, call the greg.org voicemail and share it [no bots, slop, hate, or twitter] greg.org/archive/2025...

We've learned in the past decade or so that forensic science and behavioral psychology are basically made up. Meanwhile, medical science turned AIDS into a manageable condition, developed a vaccine for a global pandemic, and is reversing Alzheimer's in mice
Reminder that years ago it was found out that the FBI straight up made up a whole bunch of fake forensic sciences, plural. People have gone to jail and been executed due to literally pseudoscience.

Hair forensics, for instance, is totally nonsense.

They admitted it.

Bluesky…the millennial app.

All are welcome though. Unless you’re actively being ethically cleansed and asking for support from those who will help.

Or you are sharing mutual aid requests and make a joke that’s too dark.

I need a visual representation of the circulation of a historical pamphlet.

Not just the rich and that's also something to sit with.
COVID really opened my eyes.

We had two paths ahead of us, and as soon as we took a single step towards THINKING about an equitable world, the rich put their full force into stopping it.

They loath humanity.

USPS quietly changed its postmark rules — mail is no longer dated when you drop it off. The “official” date is when it hits automated sorting — sometimes days later

Which could have major implications for mail in voting — it’s a clever way to disenfranchise voters that’s going largely overlooked

one of the truly depressing things about the culture war over masks is that we simply refuse to treat them as a tool to mitigate the spread of illness! it should be normal to wear a mask in public when you don’t feel well even if it’s not about saving anybody’s life!!!!! why would you mock that
or- and this will blow too many minds, for reasons that depress me deeply-

THEY CARE ABOUT OTHER PPL

hence find it totally worthwhile

TO DO THIS 1 EASY FKN TRICK THAT MIGHT SAVE A LIFE OR FEW (+if nothing else save ppl some real unpleasant days/missed pay)
These people aren't masking for shits and giggles- they are the immunocompromised, elderly, and others who are, or believe themselves to be, particularly vulnerable to infections of airborne viruses such as sars-cov-2, influenza, etc.

Yeah, the discourse about how this place is so much better than the other place hits different when you’re Palestinian. My existence is a political act, it’s divisive, it’s upsetting. Something needs to be done about us.

It’s not great.

Do you know of any graphic artists that would be interested?
