Michigan Senate poll (from an A/B rated pollster on nate silver's site). Do with it what you will.

Contra @nathanaclark.bsky.social, David Raya has not performed better against psxg since leaving Brentford and there's been nothing special about Arsenal or Brentford's over/underperformance on long distance shots. Just one big outlier: Tottenham goals allowed this year huge fluke.

Chart made with Claude Code. If aggregate weekly payrolls are growing at this rate it's going to be hard for real gdp to keep growing at a high rate unless inflation falls substantially.

Kind of shocking how wide open this is

Good start to 2026 on the homicide front! (this is obviously silly small sample size) @jeffasher.bsky.social

That's not what section 1 of the law says. It explicitly says that it covers a situation where an original image was consensually obtained and then altered. Poor drafting but I don't think you're right reading the law in total. I'd certainly take the case on and find out.
January 7, 2026 at 3:44 PM
So yes but there's this section. I think a court would have to hold that a person has a reasonable expectation of privacy as to a deep faked nude. Law should probably be amended.

Feels like a narrative violation but nationally however you slice it, asking rents nationally have grown less than wages and less than non-shelter parts of CPI since the pandemic, basically averaging 2.5% per year

With Amorim's sacking, let's look back fondly on the best moment in @weisenthal.bsky.social and Amorim look-a-like commentary, when Joe's mom @debra-in-guatemala.bsky.social agreed they look a lot alike.

Feel like there are some polling issues here potentially but I think being hooked up to status comparison machines their whole lives has been bad.

@peark.es do you have a sense of what's responsible for the persistent gap in GDI and GDP?
December 23, 2025 at 2:36 PM
And yes the actual level of crime matters not just media perceptions and probably good for liberalism across the country.

Fantastic map from @jeffasher.bsky.social showing just how broad the homicide decline in the US was this year. jasher.substack.com/p/2025-year-...

Per a Fox News poll support for bans on cell phones in school very high as is support for vaccines. Sure do wish use of national guard and bombing boats in Venezuela were more negative but I’ll take negative at all.
December 21, 2025 at 1:03 PM
We’re in the midst of a huge divergence between conference board and UMich. Civiqs is quite negative but not nearly as negative.

Had this take ready to go before today's CPI, might as well get it out there. Democrats should be ready for politics to be about jobs and not prices again. wertwhile.substack.com/p/dont-over-...

Another day, another poll showing voters hate Donald Trump on everything including on immigration and still trust Republicans more on immigration, this time from Quinnipiac. But they trust Dems more on healthcare and really hate Trump on healthcare. poll.qu.edu/poll-release...
