How many teams would kill to add a 10m player outside the salary cap? Now what is a top coach worth?

I’m pretty skeptical but agree!

Also and sorry for the link to X but @acyn.bsky.social didn't post it here but this doesn't sound like somebody ready to cancel midterms! x.com/Acyn/status/...

On the more rational side of things I have fears like "unaccountable ICE officers will strategically deploy in order to reduce votes in Democratic areas" to which I ask and can they do that for 4 weeks of early voting? What is their manpower actually?

The focus should be on figuring out how to ratfuck Paxton into the nomination, that matters a lot more to winning the seat than who the Dem nominee is as between the two Dems.

Better Manchin than Collins!

Golden is who he should have recruited and he refused for the pettiest reasons. A big miss. everybody here would have been mad but it was the obvious choice.

Contra @nathanaclark.bsky.social, David Raya has not performed better against psxg since leaving Brentford and there's been nothing special about Arsenal or Brentford's over/underperformance on long distance shots. Just one big outlier: Tottenham goals allowed this year huge fluke.

Yeah I'm saying he's wrong and it's mostly noise imo

Does card spending track PCE better than retail?

on Understat (which doesn't use freeze frame) Spurs have conceded 8 goals from 3 xG outside the box. Even assuming freeze frame would say Spurs have conceded more, I think it's mostly a non-problem. In many ways, Frank really has improved the defense a lot. Now about those goals.

Got it. I thought that meant methodologically that since it's 6m average less 6m average rent is still depressed by that one month zero?
January 13, 2026 at 1:59 PM
Did they stop assuming zero for the one month?

When keeping it reich goes wrong
January 13, 2026 at 1:55 AM
Yes but also yougov seems to have every poll that makes me feel that way in a way that makes me a bit worried about their panel. Weighting to past vote solves a lot but not everything.

Obviously agree but for prosecution we’ll need a few more words! bsky.app/profile/stev...
It would take a two-word amendment to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 to subject ICE agents and other federal law enforcement officers to the same liability for constitutional violations that local and state officers currently face.

If Congress actually cared about what it's seeing, it could pass that overnight.

This is what I meant, obviously dollar denomination still matters a lot but so does the debasement!
