hey w how trad pub is likely going to be pulling back on books by marginalized authors, now more than ever, please get over whatever roadblock exists in your mind that keeps you from branching out to indie books. if the trad space starts to look dire soon (and it will), this is gonna be the solution

the actual merits of the grade are mostly beside the point, but i do think it’s worth thinking about how to insulate yourself a bit from bad faith actors if you’re a professor or TA. this M.O. (on a smaller scale) is common on the right.

If I were an academic right now I’d be archiving all my shit, downloading as many journal articles, research materials, and data sets as feasible (and legal), and making sure I had channels to my colleagues that didn’t go through a university server.

Beat Hell is Us. It was in the end not a game of next year contender. I think they should have cooked on it for a little longer. The first half of the game is excellent, but the final act is over in the blink of an eye.
