Over the next 15 months, we can expect a coordinated campaign — backed by the full power of the executive branch — to undermine confidence in our election system. Here’s what to expect, and how key actors can be ready to respond: bit.ly/4fRIqtA

Yeah, if you're in the media and someone insists that "they" were celebrating his murder and therefore "they" have to suffer some sort of retribution, you have an obligation to ask who "they" are and what, specifically, they did to celebrate this.

You can't just let them throw that gas on the fire.
Keep seeing/hearing news reports of MAGA fury at people celebrating Kirk’s killing (just now, NPR cited Stephen Miller’s outrage about this). But I have yet to see/hear a single example reported of such “celebration” —nothing close to Kirk’s own vile celebration of Paul Pelosi’s hammer attacker.

Highly recommended, especially if you're hearing about Charlie Kirk via the absolutely useless mainstream media reporting on him.
OUT NOW: @michaelehayden.bsky.social and I made one of our “Who the Hell?” episodes for Charlie Kirk to counter the gross revisionism and lies in mainstream press. We covered how he died and how he lived — honestly

I've written a lot about disordered discourse and counterpublics, but given recent events I want to cover a key part of disordered discourse, which I call the four pillars of disordered doubt.

Does anything in this picture say, "federal agents making a lawful arrest?" Perhaps they identified themselves. But when did it go out of fashion for law enforcement to look like law enforcement?
Breaking News: Brad Lander, the New York City comptroller who is running for mayor, was detained by ICE agents at an immigration court as he tried to escort a migrant out of the courthouse to prevent his arrest. nyti.ms/4jWkANE

Are we clear now a private businessman shouldn’t be in a position to control the space program—that this richest man in the world fueled by drugs, ego & hate shouldn’t be partnering with a malignant sociopath in the WH immunized by the SCOTUS & bent on pocketing billions & flouting the Constitution?

During Trump and Musk’s public fight, Musk posted:

“Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate”.

What did Elon do to ensure Trump won the election? Do tell!

This kind of clear, direct explanation of what’s happening is basic journalism and yet it’s surprising to hear it stated so forthrightly in this mealy-mouthed era.

Remember when Donald Trump got caught with all sorts of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago after saying he didn't have anything, and then he got indicted but the judge slow walked the case to death? Yup. He did that.

Raskin: This is a gangster state. This is not basically a legitimate government that is sometimes doing corrupt things. This is an essentially corrupt enterprise. It's like watching The Sopranos. Every day, they get up and they try to figure out how to plunder and pillage the people

Courts & the rule of law: they should have no role here
Leavitt: The courts should have no role here. There is a troubling & dangerous trend of unelected judges inserting themselves into the presidential decision making process. America cannot function if President Trump has his sensitive diplomatic or trade negotiations railroaded by activist judges.

There are two possibilities here.

1. His advisors didn't know it wasn't true.
2. His advisors did know it wasn't true.

If they didn't know it wasn't true, they showed an incredible lack of competence in not making sure it was true.

If they did know it wasn't true, they're evil.
