They were careless people, Tom and Daisy- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.

I think it's amazing the incredible art that creative and talented people are producing for this!!
I’ve seen estimates as high as 5+ million for total #handsoff portests today, and just doing a very rough count of the biggest ones, it certain seems like in the millions.

Kinda funny that Ossoff was mocked a ton when he was running for senate, and he became what people thought Fetterman would be
Ossoff: This was a huge a mistake

Ratcliffe: No

Ossoff: This is an embarrassment. We will get the full transcript of this chain and your testimony will be measured carefully against its content

This is just fantastic.

We need a new free speech movement.

And universities should sue the Trump regime for abridging the First Amendment rights of their institutions and their students.

Senate Democratic leadership essentially played dead today and greenlit the Trump-Musk-Vance coup. What is the point of the Democratic Party if it doesn't actually act like an opposition party? Hello?

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

For World Kidney Day, we look back at this story on the more than 90,000 people in the U.S. who are waiting for a kidney transplant. A kidney shortage means many die on the waitlist or become too sick for a transplant. A new plan would compensate donors.
There's a severe kidney shortage. Should donors be compensated?

CALLS ARE WORKING - it has bought us precious time, but we NEED to keep the pressure up.

Tomorrow is the cloture vote.

KEEP CALLING: (202) 224-3121 ☎️☎️☎️

Tell your Dem Senator to vote NO on Cloture and NO on the Republican spending bill.

Do NOT assume your Senator will be good on this. Trust me.
🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave.

Tell them:
1. Vote NO on Cloture
AND
2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill.

Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it.

TODAY is the showdown.

As Trump tries to dismantle the Department of Education, remember that his plan to cut the corporate tax rate to 15% would give the 100 largest corporations a tax cut larger than the entire department's K-12 budget.

Really think about how twisted this all is.

I am staggered by so many people who keep saying oh he won’t go that far. Why is it so hard to understand that to control us dictator style he needs us poor and sick and frightened and that is why he is taking away everything that makes us secure and well and strong. It’s so obvious.
