Days after Secretary Noem took office, she purported to "vacate" decisions by Secretary Mayorkas to extend TPS for Venezuela and Haiti — even though the law says repeatedly that TPS, once granted, lasts until it expires.

The 9th Circuit says she had no authority to do that.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem’s termination of Temporary Protected Status for Venezuelans and Haitians was unlawful, a Ninth Circuit panel found.

It’s the first time an appellate court has ruled on the substance of Trump efforts to dismantle the TPS program.

DOJ is not supposed to file charges against someone unless they believe those charges will hold up before a jury evaluating the case for guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Filing felony charges because you MIGHT bring an indictment (under the much lower standard of probable cause) is beyond bizarre

The tone shift is to have Tom Homan recite that the extortionate and coercive demands in AG Bondis letter - turn over your voter rolls, abandon your state policies, and give us Medicaid data & we’ll end the occupation and terrorization of a state - are the terms
Homan: "The withdrawal of law enforcement resources here is dependent upon cooperation ... as we see that cooperation happen, then the redeployment will happen"

I know all eyes are on Minneapolis, but there's a fast-approaching nightmare in Springfield, Ohio.

Trump is revoking protected status for tens of thousands of Haitians living there on Feb. 3.

Reportedly, on Feb. 4, 1000 ICE agents are arriving to remove this population. Ethnic cleansing.

It is wild to me that a military incursion to steal another country’s resources so the president can have a personal slush fund in Qatar is like the 5th most scandalous thing currently happening.
this is a straightforward impeachable offense for trump, vance, rubio and every other person down the line who enabled it and the framers would have thought impeachment for it did not go nearly far enough
Marco Rubio: "The oil proceeds are being deposited into an account that ultimately will become a US Treasury blocked account here in the US. We will say 'this is what this money can be spent on.' They will submit to us a budget request -- 'we want to use the money on these things.'"

One year ago tomorrow, Donald Trump signed the Laken Riley Act - a bill that empowers ICE and strips immigrants of due process by allowing indefinite detention, even for children.

Trump couldn't get it done without Angie Craig.

After the interrogation is over, people are being dumped on the street and told to find their own way back.

ICE is violating court orders at a record pace but, sure, some additional training and a few administrative rules will bring them to heel.
A federal judge, in a published order, so very much on the record:

“ICE has likely violated more court orders in January 2026 than some federal agencies have violated in their entire existence.”
