This reminds me of some of the opening scenes in Romero's Dawn of the Dead (1979)...
NEW: @propublica.org investigated the Chicago apartment raid where kids were zip-tied and citizens detained for hours. They find:
- NONE of the arrested were criminally charged

And it really bothers me when you give them draft language to flesh out to add said paragraph, and they ignore it and write something that completely misses the mark...
Ah, junior officers, if I say "[w]e can add in a short paragraph regarding [X]", that means do it. Don't write back & ask if you should add the paragraph. Do I need to be more explicit? Should I say "add in a short paragraph regarding [X]", Or will you then complain I don't sound friendly enough?

"AI" is absolutely and ONLY a marketing term, and at this point if it's being used, the intent behind it is to overpromise to the consumer/end user on the program's actual capabilities. And, of course, none of the "AI" is actually intelligent in any meaningful way.
It would be neat if it wasn’t marketed as AI. Predictive statistical modeling doesn’t really slide off the tongue I guess

My manager has clearly used AI to write my performance assessment and it is so painful to read. So many meaningless sentences that fail to provide any substantive information about what I do. And there are a fair number of sentences that are complete gibberish, too.

Ah, that feeling when a junior officer leaves your section on a temporary lateral move to the DGO, and then asks you informally for documentation about Divisional policies and procedures... Sorry, what's the context for this request? You can ask a manager for that. Through proper channels.

I've seen plenty of signs around cautioning you not to feed the wildlife (ducks, geese, pigeons, squirrels, etc.), but this one seems oddly specific, and I highly suspect it isn't a real Conservation Ontario sign. I mean, who in their right mind is giving hallucinogens to Canada Geese?
