Why did six House Republicans who promised to oppose Medicaid cuts vote for the "big beautiful bill"?

It could be because the bill now contains an expanded "pass-through" tax deduction that would personally benefit them.

Follow the money.
The Curious Case of the Republican Medicaid Turncoats

I’m horrified by the murder of two Israeli embassy staffers at an event in DC last night.

The fact that the gunman said he did it to “free Palestine” makes me nauseous. Murdering people for their nationality is never acceptable and this violence hurts Jews, Israelis, *and* Palestinians.

Mike Johnson: "We're transitioning from Bidenomics and the terrible economy that was delivered by the last administration. It takes a while to turn that ship around."

Back in 2023, Elon Musk infamously posted and reposted a meme falsely claiming Republicans hadn't changed their views in the last decade, while Democrats had moved left.

An FT study confirms that was a lie: Democrats are typical for Western democracies, and MAGA and Musk are _nearly off the chart_.
