Lots of associations are in a very difficult position because they are being relentlessly attacked by transphobes backed by massive amounts of money. The whole strategy is to bully these orgs into submission to make everyone else afraid to be inclusive. It's really sad.

This thread brings an interesting distinction to mind, Americans tend to think they're middle-class whereas Brits think they're all working class.

yes I don't really see how you can go "oh yikes these people have changed their political views incredibly quickly, mostly because of what Very Online people talk about on social media" and also think that people who went from never talking about gender to calling trans women predators are....normal
I don’t like subtweeting people I consider online friends, but there is a subset of people who are very worried about the ongoing radicalisation of our political elite but won’t ever acknowledge the echoes with the radicalisation of their colleagues on trans rights
And few who are sympathetic to us, some who are friendly with me on here, will ever stick their head above the parapet

I cannot emphasise enough how much this medication is safe and prescribed to cis kids fine! The only danger is that it makes it more likely that the child will grow up into a happy and well-adjusted trans adult, and the powers that be cannot bear that.

There should be a word (derogatory) for someone who shares a PowerPoint in an online meeting, but shares the full PowerPoint editing window rather than as a presentation.
