This can be said of Dolphins moves in general lately. What seems like common sense to the rest of us is Grier and McDaniel supposedly being smarter than everyone else.
that was my initial thought but others said they could be making room to unload someone? could be either, probably.
I wish I knew more but I admittedly play ignorant with the salary cap & even the things I think I know, I’m never 100% sure of.

In my mind give the new hire as much time as possible before the next season but I may be over looking some facets here.

There’s that Travis optimism sneaking through. It’s all about perspective.
The Dolphins went from a team that always found a way to win those tight games under Tua, to a team that cannot make the clinching play. A lot of that has been the defense, but it's the difference between 3-3, maybe even 4-2, and 1-5 and considerable change probably in the longview.

The amount of people I’ve seen saying to hire John Gruden in Miami is comical. I don’t think it’s just Mike, we’ve got to start from the top down. Now I don’t like a new GM working with the last Game coach so he’s got to go too, but it’s not just Mike.
