“The 40,000 people who have been forced out of their homes in West Bank cities like Jenin and Tulkarm will not be allowed to return – ever.”

Netanyahu is doing what his government promised: level the West Bank just as it did Gaza.

Elon Musk to reporter: “We post our actions to the DOGE website. All of our actions are maximally transparent. I don’t know of a case where an organization has been more transparent than the DOGE organization.”

Here’s the doge.gov website IN ITS ENTIRETY. It’s literally a blank page!

Susan Collins won re-election in 2020 by more than 8% points (with Biden winning national vote by 4.5% and 9% in Maine). That seat will be extremely hard to take especially with Musk unlimited purse.

Tesla stock is going to plunge lol. How they're going to sell vehicles in US, Canada, or Europe with Musk as CEO? 405 new Teslas were registered in Sweden last month, down 44% from Jan 2024, while registrations in Norway fell to 689, a decline of 38%... despite rising overall demand.

Facebook already knew the vast majority of users that joined extremist Facebook groups joined because the algo recommended the groups. Now Facebook has said it will only potentially filter hate speech is users report it. Users in extremist groups will not report content so hate will flourish.

Bobby Fischer was essentially a Nazi his entire adult life (his parents were also Jews, but he denied it). He was addicted to chess -- read chess books as a child for fun -- later he learned languages in order to read chess books. He was so unstable he could barely compete in chess tourneys.

So many good South Korean movies are anti-capitalist with poverty-stricken protagonists. The Host, Parasite, Snowpiercer, and a bunch others. Plus Squid Games. I can't think of any comparable American films.

In the past 40 years, we invented the pc, internet, social media, laptop, smartphone, AI that can beat humans at every board game, AIs that know how proteins fold, chatbots. In the process, we almost entirely lost local newspapers, comics, magazines, bookstores, books.
