🤯 This new @permitpower.bsky.social report reveals that if we cut down on red tape for solar installations, we could unlock solar power for almost 20 MILLION families across the U.S. 🇺🇸 If it’s already working in countries like Australia & Germany, why can’t it work here? 👇🧵

I might have to repost this daily until our government starts reducing subsidies for WASTEFUL oil & gas.
The Primary Energy Fallacy is the idea that all primary energy from fossil fuels must be replaced with equivalent amount of clean energy.

BUT: Not necessary because >2/3 of all primary energy is lost as waste heat.

Electrification+renewables are far more efficient.

The Northeast, South Central, and Pacific Islands will be left without actionable science on drought, floods, wildfire, sea level rise and other hazards.

Yes!
I will add, as I’m sure others have, that it’s normal to FEEL apathetic, beleaguered, cynical, despondent, enraged, glum or even hopeless sometimes.

Those who are in a more optimistic or energetic moment can seek out the downtrodden and help lift them up.
I keep telling y’all that your voice and wallet are more powerful than you think, so maybe we should stop listening to the doomers and accelerationists who think things are hopeless — because things are only hopeless if we all give up.
