I finally got #TheArtistsWay in the mail! I'm super stoked to use it :) I could hardly wait so I started doing morning pages the week before it arrived and I actually felt eager to continue my story that I was too intimidated to touch for years. I'm now at the third chapter, so I'm really happy.

Yes, I'm tired of people saying we're not doing anything. We are. People are organizing, holding rallies and protests, but the media is censoring it. We are not complacent.
If you’re not American or living in America, I’m sorry but you have no idea what’s truly happening here or our resistance. You do not understand the massiveness of America. You do not understand and that’s okay. But do not belittle us because of it. Xenophobia towards Americans is still xenophobia.

I spent yesterday at the CO State Capitol testifying in support of SB25-063. Thanks to our efforts, this Freedom to Read Bill has passed through the House education committee and will now proceed to the House floor.

I have a dream that mossy forests will once again cover the earth.
Badgers in little tweed suits will bow politely and invite us into their cozy burrows for tea, while the stars banish the darkness with their ancient glow.
Until then, we wait.

Maybe social media should be treated the same way as alcohol consumption: don't use it if you're sad or angry. You'll have less regrets and you won't say embarrassing things.

Parents, have you talked to your kids about the dangers of the old forest?
The seductive lure of a mossy nook or sun dappled meadow?
The siren song of forgotten tombs, talking owls, and ancient witches cackling in the moonlight?

New challenge: follow the people that make posts and repost things that you really enjoy seeing. Don't follow people just because you feel like you "have to". Quality over quantity.

The funny thing about reading as much fanfiction as I have (since I was 9, I think) is that it's started to become oversaturated for me. I craved something new, so I actually started reading a new book for the first time in years.

You're not "late to the party" when you enjoy an old book for the first time. Books don't have an RSVP deadline. The party started long ago, and guests show up when they're meant to.

Okay here’s my new theory about infodumping: the earlier in the book we are, the less well it works and the shorter the tidbits have to be. Once we’re a bit more invested in the story, we want the backstory more and will absorb it better. By then we can take a couple paragraphs at a time.
