I posted a photo of the same plant back in September and thought it was doing well then. I expect this is a final flourish - but on 12 November? Bless its little roots!

Antisemitism exists in U.K. & must end

Maccabi fanbase incl a hardcore racist hooligan faction

U.K. policing has been substantially under-resourced for years

PMs & Home Secs should stay out of operational decisions made by police forces

Dad’s books are full of empathy, common sense, and a healthy suspicion of the powerful. But at its heart his work is also about how systems keep people poor while pretending it’s their own fault. So I hope Kemi’s taking notes as well as reading the jokes.

Just fuck off with this. How about start the conversation by highlighting how much immigrants contribute to the UK - not least by propping up the NHS and social care system!

Also - forced volunteering is not volunteering, it's unpaid labour.

An underwater comeback story.

For centuries oysters were a staple food. London ate 700 million oysters one year, but overfishing had disastrous consequences.

Now, a bold project is rebuilding reefs to restore water clarity and biodiversity.

Any volunteers for being King for a couple of weeks?
Charles has had a bit of a day and is in dire need of a rest.
He's not been well, you know.

"Coronate"?
What?
You don't coronate someone.
You crown them.
Remember Charlie changing from Prince to King at his coronation?
Because he was crowned?

Aargh.

I don't mind the language evolving, but why invent 3 syllables when one has been doing the job for centuries?

Unbelievable.
Well, JD Vance is coming my way, near home (passing by). Poor old Cotswolds is getting all closed up with an awful lot of security.

Update on the Gaza War Cemetery.

SkySat imagery from @planet.com shows a large crater nearby on August 4. An IDF update from @manniefabian.bsky.social has video of a tunnel demolition in the area, though unclear why as many as 400 gravestones needed to be destroyed.
