Bluesky suspended Sarah Kendzior today for no reason whatsoever. She just shared excerpts of her articles, which were as always incisive and not offensive at all. Hey @pfrazee.com this is super not OK. I know her- we've interacted a fair bit via chats and her work is essential.

Book bans are getting weirder, targeting cats, dogs and civic-minded grandmas
Seeking to ban books like “Bathe the Cat” has less to do with morality than it does with a yearning for control.

Hey, go do this, please. I have health insurance through the ACA, and if this rule went into effect, it would mean that while I'd still be paying a ridiculous amount in premiums, the plans I'd be able to get wouldn't actually cover my health needs.
public comment period for the proposed rule to remove trans care from the ACA as an essential health benefit & strip care from DACA recipients ends at 23:59pm EDT tonite

if you haven't commented, it won't take long & is worth doing. context & guidance in-thread ⬇️

if you have commented, thank you💜🏳️‍⚧️
hi, cis folks!

if we *are* going to talk ACA, RFK's HHS proposed a rule to remove *all trans care* from ACA essential health benefit status.

~25mil people are insured by ACA & if 1% are trans, that's 250,000 people who'd lose access to care.

that's bad! take 2 minutes to stand with trans people.🧵
