Just want to reprint Jimmy Kimmel’s words .

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”

Let’s remember most of these victims are teenagers , some young teenagers. Lest stop with the”under age women” phrase. It’s inaccurate

I want to tell you why the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia should matter to you.

The one power you cannot give the executive is the ability to imprison or expel anyone regardless of their legal rights. That is our key check against autocracy. And we are watching it disappear.

A thread worth reading
Academics & others need to understand a few things.

A 🧵

I) First, fascism is not inevitable.

Research on autocratic movements show that only about 3,5% of the population need to resist to stop them.

Fascism thrives on the silence of the friends.
That why visible resistance matters.

In addition to going through the website, I strongly encourage people to read the letter from Harvard's President, Dr. Garber.

We need more scientific institutions to show this level of courage, no matter the risk. In fact, we need *all* institutions to stand up*.

More screaming:
“Musk Targeted FEMA. Storm-Battered Communities Are Paying a Price.”

Why is this taking so long to find out?

Here’s my screaming:
“Trump Announces 25% Tariffs on Imported Cars and Car Parts”
Does tRump think factories just open like pop-ups??? Here in SE Michigan, we’ve experienced shut downs while they merely “retool” for new cars.

I've been protesting, but I decided to do something different. I made an ad. I've given a lot of thought as to how to communicate without confrontation to Republican voters, non-voters, or Trumpers who are beginning to be concerned. I hope you'll watch - it's only 30 seconds. youtu.be/bp6XUjteeV4

This. Especially Senate Republicans.
The greatest political scandal today is not what Trump is doing. It is the fact that congressional Republicans have given up their role in the constitutional system as a check on the executive branch. If we are in a constitutional crisis, it is as much on Mike Johnson and John Thune as anyone else.
