If progressives want to win back young men, then they must talk to them and address their needs, instead of constant scolding. All the finger wagging just drives them to Rogan, Peterson, and the Tate brothers. And they DO talk to young men.

one of my favorite running storylines in culture is that people treat JAMES BOND as a franchise full of classic, beloved movies that has only recently lost its way, when the reality is that literally almost every single movie in the history of the franchise sucks.

Whenever I hear this kind of question I immediately think of Outer Wilds. It’s best game I have ever played, because the game is *figuring out what the game is*. The purest exploration and wonder.
Need recs for some great (fairly linear) single player campaigns. Love Uncharted, Indiana Jones, God of War, DMC, Dishonored, Spiderman, Control, Horizon, Alan Wake, Stellar Blade, Dead Space, Space Marine 2. Looking for shooters, adventures, hack n slash, anything that isn't overly RPG.

This. Chatterton never explains why he’s supposedly more rational, it’s just his default setting. My first question to him would be, what makes you rational and “them” irrational?
the last point i’ll make here is that @chatterton.bsky.social is performing a familiar move, which is equating rationality with a particular affect and style of discourse (self satisfied chin-stroking) bemoaning the absence of rational discourse, but never actually engaging seriously with critics.
