The byproduct of merely reciprocal masking in public spaces: it relies upon someone not only being willing to put themselves in a physically risky sitch, but they also must be able &/or courageous enough to resist the social pressure of “normal”—push the 1st domino, be the change: mask up in public.
At this point, no one is advocating for a return to 2020.

But I saw a teacher share once that she would mask in any class she had a student masking in. And I think about that a lot. I wish more educators would do that. Reciprocal masking in all public spaces is the bare minimum.

Many doctors are under the mistaken impression that COVID is over. One by one, we must learn and understand the science - it's our duty of care to do so.

And also if you're not masking and would consider doing it just part-time—hospitals, pharmacies, public transportation and grocery stories are good places to mask, as people taking Covid seriously have to generally be there as well.
If you’re still masking & taking Covid precautions - thank you.

If you stopped - it’s not too late to start again. There are people who will help you.

If you’re covid cautious & dealing with an infection - it’s not your fault. The system is failing us.

By making the effort you protected others.

an extraordinarily easy way to do this is to wear a mask in, at the very least, public indoor spaces.
The fascists waiting to take over the country are counting on society wide apathy and normalcy bias to keep people from effectively pushing back especially as the shock and awe phase unfolds directly after the inauguration. Prove them wrong.
