Flâneur. Birding, cats, fannying around on Garageband, irstwhile e-biking. A silly person.
It was lovely to see the reindeer at the Christmas Market earlier today.

David Peace wrote the Red Riding series.

His brother Warren wrote a biography of Leo Tolstoy.

I used to play the triangle in a dub reggae band. I'd just stand at the back and ting.

The old ones are the best.

IF the Princes in the Tower were murdered and IF the oldest, Edward V, was killed first- THEN at the second of his death, his brother Richard would have become king, for an instant until he was killed.
SO he would have been Richard III. Richard III of carpark fame would actually be Richard IV

I mentioned to a work colleague once that Pringles are hyperbolic paraboloids.

Colleague subsequently found the mathematical parameters and created a subroutine to generate them as 3D CAD models.

I used to get dragged along to all sorts of age-inappropriate films by my mother.

I saw Paint Your Wagon when I was six. Thankfully, the polygamy and prostitution went completely over my innocent little head.
What's a film you watched way too young?
yeah, saw it year of release - put the zap on my head

How delightfully quaint some of these old Devon village names are, their etymologies lost in the mists of time.

My old school is long gone.
Buildings where I first worked are long demolished. People have gone away, or died.

They only exist as memories.

The Sycamore Gap tree is gone, but at least I have an image of it. Alive in a moment of time.

I think ghosts are everywhere but most of them are so innocuous you barely notice them.

A woman at a bus stop you just drove by.

A boy at the back of the crowd.

They barely warrant a glance so they never get seen.

Watching Father Ted’s a Christmassy Ted and remembered this nugget of pop trivia, the priest with the most boring voice Father Fitzgerald (Sean Barrett) in Ireland's largest lingeree section was the cover star of The Smith's single "How Soon is Now" a still from the 1958 film "Dunkirk".

Is this not happening to everyone all the time now? About half of the ads in that feed are like "We spent 6 years and 8 million dollars designing a phone charger made of ham" and there's a photo of a bike shifter.
