- saw a friend I haven't seen since January
- took a long walk after work in the nice fall weather
- ate too many rice balls
- met the cutest dachshund puppy on my walk
- got a sack of 🥑 for free
- turned on the heat for the 1st time this season
- hung my bat wreath up

Every once in a while, I toy with the idea of going up during the show weekend & just not going to the con. Taking a mini vacation to do sidequests while everyone & their grandpa is hustling over at Javits.

NYCC will always hold a special place in my heart bc it gave me the opportunity to better connect with comics in a way that felt genuinely fulfilling outside of my job.

But the actual event is a sensory nightmare, & I'm too fried to jump back into that shit lol

The last time I was there, I had a rough time. Imposter syndrome was beating my ass, I was at the tail end of a sinus infection, & stress & misunderstandings were causing me to argue with people I care about.

I'm fine not going to the con again, but I miss that *feeling*, y'know? The excitement.
