That Weird Chicago Submarine Lady; also, a literal coyote who can type. Writing dog, history geek; she/her/DOG/etc. Romance at short notice is my specialty; deep space is my dwelling place, but I keep a flat in Berlin. Solidarity forever!
If Frank Gehry doesn’t have the most obnoxious coffin your RISD coffin-studies-major friends won’t shut up about, what are we even doing here?

This composition had eluded me for nearly a decade, but yesterday I was finally able to capture it. A train rolled through just as the Duquesne Incline was crossing over the tracks in #Pittsburgh, creating a picture perfect winter scene. It was worth the hours and hours I've waited over the years.

I accept the delay, but strongly question United’s choice to operate a nonstop transatlantic flight via hot air balloon.

My first airport security incident and I didn’t even irradiate anything ;-;

the temptation to make fun of Con Callout Culture is high, but I know that it’s winter and not everyone has grass to touch so I will be a Good Dog :|

In general, I think companies finding regulatory loopholes is Bad. That said: as unintended consequences of the Jones “How Did This Stick Get In My Bike Wheel???” Act go, at least building a 200-foot railroad in Canada to claim you’re really an international shipper doesn’t have a body count :P

And really, what company *wouldn’t* jump at running ads next to a grown-up SmarterChild whimpering: “You’re exactly right! I see now that your unbalanced wheel would indeed work as you explained, Master” before suggesting “some other ways the first law of thermodynamics can be violated”?

Woke up early because the crows are unhappy so everyone must also be unhappy :P

Well that’s fine; nothing but love for my covid friends.

Anyway! I love you all! Welcome to Monday! Make some noise!

To fix my brain my psychiatrist has prescribed: bisexuality.

Let’s see how it goes!

Important reminder: IAEA calls them “orphan sources” because you can and should adopt them, especially since a radioactive source is “orphaned” every day, on average :(

Ignore the “sales” offered by unscrupulous breeder reactors, and please: this Black Friday, consider adoption ❤️☢️❤️

Vandalizing advertising in public places is always valid.

Because the advertising itself is vandalism of a public place by private companies.

See? Fire: all gone! Thing that was on fire: all gone! Ordinary extinguishers neglect that part!

*God, I love being a coyote* XD

Life hack: make water an even more effective fire extinguisher just by carefully adding an additional oxygen atom!

The frankly rather blasé use of “vertebrate and/or arthropod” in this family tree of rhabdoviridae perturbs me, in that I did not need to confront the possibility of Spider Rabies in my day-to-day life. Fortunately, it appears that arthropods develop other conditions instead.

I did not realize how the 1910 census had recorded Myrtle’s name until I found another source and: no, I am not going to keep that around as an alternate, thanks XD

An interesting Blueskyism is when folks go “all y’all motherfuckers doing [action] better [warning]” and I can’t tell if they have actually seen posters e.g. feting Dick Cheney, or if they are manifesting a hostile entity from nowhere to develop antibodies against, like a Discover Feed mRNA vaccine.

Good morning, lovelies~ I hope that your week is going well. May I introduce you to a new Blessed Dog? This one was quite alert but also quite well-behaved, and I’ve always wondered what either of those would feel like.

Anyway! Have a wonderful day, all!

Wait, okay, but: what is the safe way of starting fires or electrocuting someone, if these are the dangerous ones?

Asking for a friend.
it's the most wonderful time of the year 🎶

Researching an etymology on newspapers.com, getting excited to find a super early example, and then the community layer loads and I find it’s already been clipped by Barry Popik is my version of Robert Scott at the South Pole.

And if anybody knows the pitfalls of “making” “new” words simply by smashing existing ones together, it would be Germans.
