It took me a while to settle on Nike, but I really liked the idea of Azem being such a force of nature and her voice carrying so much weight that she became synonymous with victory/winning - be it argument, debate, or battle.
And I like that the sentiment echoes into the future with Xel.

The #WoLQoTD about the convocation seats got me thinking: the Ancients' appear very Greek Pantheon based! Did you stick with that theme or did you use a different Pantheon to have a little more leeway?

Though I *have* been cooking up some Xel lore pre-ARR, which is fun. I've always had her as having a nice singing voice, as her mama sang to her a lot when she was young.

Xel tends to draw out her words when she's thinking. She tends to be unhurried when she's speaking, unless she's excited or riled up. She mostly has the generic Gridanian accent, but she's got a slight lilt to it, like the Ala Mhigan accent, that she picked up from her mama.

Her name is Nike! She was partnered with Hyth and Hades, and Venat was both a mentor and mother-like figure to her. Themis was a very close friend of hers as well!
She specialized in aerial combat and black magic, but was quite adept at healing too when the situation called for it.

Xel'ia is a switch, but being the WoL has definitely pushed her into being more submissive -- only with a partner she *really* trusts.
Having so much responsibility levied onto her shoulders definitely weighs on her; being able to give up that control in a place of trust and love appeals to her.
