Stunning that this just HAPPENED on a show with (at that point) an audience of about 8 million people a week, in 1992. Nothing about Denise was played for laughs, except other people's reactions to her.
imagine if everyone had this level of acceptance

The weirdest part to me about the reaction to Trump attacking Rob Reiner after being murdered is that people on the right for some reason didn't expect this as the most predictable outcome ever?

Suddenly it's too far when it's against a white man.

Like my serious question for people JUST NOW shocked and surprised at the depths of Trump's petty cruelty and sociopathy is why weren't you shocked and surprised the hundreds of other times he's done this to other people?

The cultural impact of Rob Reiner cannot be understated. Legend isn't big enough a word. It goes to 11. You can't handle the truth. As you wish. I'll have what she's having. I'm your number one fan. You guys wanna see a dead body? The very idea of a bucket list. The West Wing.

All from his movies.

I'm not even going to repost a screengrab of his post about Rob Reiner but man it really needs to be said every single day: Trump truly is the biggest piece of shit in the world, a man of absolutely no good qualities and seemingly limitless bad ones. Support for him is just so damning.

When Rob Reiner was on his all-time epic run at the start of his career, he had an opportunity to read a script that was looking for a production partner, and he lost his mind for it. He decided Castle Rock had to have it, no matter what.

every once in a while I get the urge to go back and watch this scene with Fred Macmurray and Barbara Stanwyck. It’s like poetry the way they flirt. No one in real like is that cool but boy do we wish we were youtu.be/ZKdcYnlkhx8?...

excellent thread by noted Bond expert Phil Nobile Jr
When you say “Bond tropes,” people will think of

Sexy women

Drinks

International travel

Megalomaniacal villains

Etc. But the Bond trope that really resonates, which is baked into Fleming’s novels and seeps into almost every movie?

Death.

Let’s get into it. 🧵

We’re crushed to hear the news that the great Udo Kier has passed at the age of 81. As iconic as he was prolific, Kier’s contributions to the genre span nearly 300 screen credits, from BLOOD FOR DRACULA to BACURAU and beyond. Our condolences go out to his friends, family and legions of fans.

Udo Kier was a delight to work with, and he loved telling shocking stories to see how you'd react. When he filmed "that moment" in CIGARETTE BURNS, there was a lot of laughter on set because he was enjoying himself too much. Dude was a straight-up icon. Those eyes. Those eyes. #RIP and much love.

The screen door slams, Mary's dress sways
Like a vision she dances across the porch as the radio plays
Roy Orbison's singing for the lonely
Hey, that's me and I want you only
Don't turn me home again
