A reminder to the news media: “conflicting accounts” is what you say BEFORE the incontrovertible video evidence appears. After that, your job is to ask why one side is lying, not to repeat the lie and pretend no one knows the truth.

BREAKING: Another sick beluga at #Marineland 💔🐳 The whale is being kept isolated in a shallow tank. The tanks are disgusting & filled with algae.

Animal Justice has filed a legal complaint with authorities demanding an urgent investigation into the deteriorating conditions at the park.

Wow, they're arguing that the Administrative Office of the US Courts is an executive agency that must be controlled by the president. This would functionally allow the president to shut down courthouses, fire judicial staff, and perhaps even cut off judicial salaries.

There’s a man on my train who keeps getting up to buy something in the food cart and that’s me at home checking the pantry like a few thousand times to see what I can snack on

No one I've talked to or have heard on TV today, could explain how Donald Trump came up with today's tariff numbers.

I checked the other platform and renowned business writer James Surowiecki offered this. It makes sense as an explanation less so for economic policy #Trump #Tariffs

Just decided to make grooming/filling my brows as my beauty identity instead of getting them tattooed in Vietnam (that seems to be a family tradition that I will not be partaking in)

I received a heartbreaking email today: A paper in a special issue I’m editing is being retracted because one of its authors is afraid of losing their job and their legal status in the U.S. if they publish a scientific study on evolution. Yes, on evolution, nature's engine of diversity.

To me, It's much more interesting to see AI critics who argue against the technology outside the loss of jobs it will no doubt ensue, other ethical considerations and its lack of personal application in life. We're kind of past the point of "you're just a luddite" stage
i am not mad at anyone here for making this point, it's a good point, but please consider checking the comments to see if anyone has already made that point before replying

To everyone saying "car touchscreens seem dangerous": You're completely right. Here's a story I wrote about it.

Nice to see Europe take the danger seriously. Meanwhile, the US continues to ignore it.

So I hate to tag the mods- but I sent this email about the mass deletion of Palestinian accounts over a week ago to @support.bsky.team and I haven’t heard anything back (apologies if I somehow missed an email). I’d like to ensure it will be seen by the proper people.
