There's a certain kind of provocateur that revels in saying things you'll get offended at, all the way up to implying you should kill yourself, but won't ever say it outright. As best as I can tell it's cowardice, they always need you to validating their accusations by getting mad.

The left still has no actual critique of Biden’s economic record other than “Dems lost the election, proving it was bad.” Incomes rose a lot, especially at the low end; inflation was not bad after a brief spike; Biden consistently pursued full employment. What is the criticism here?
Months ago a *lot* of liberals rallied around some exaggerated defenses of Bidenomics for the sake of the election / post-election discourse.
Most have quietly backed off on it but few are calling Will out on continuing this because it would mean admitting his left critics were right.

I have no clue why this is the hill Stancil wants to die on. We have all sorts of empirical evidence that the costs of housing and transportation in particular have risen faster than incomes, especially in the large cities that form the base of the Democratic Party.

Litigation against affirmative action programs claimed they discriminated against Asian applicants, and it turns out they were not sincere about this being a problem at all!
Interesting how much resentment this photo created from white conservatives who assumed that the dismantling of DEI meant elite schools would return to the 1940s.

I notice how many manosphere masc guys lack any "man skills" the fact that Walz has those "man skills" ie football coach, works on his own old truck, grill master, and also is happy not miserable and has 0 interest in injecting roids into his balls and spending 14 hours in the gym melted their brain

I recall Joe Rogan specifically saying he was radicalized by something he found viscerally hateful about Walz, which is hugely telling. They blame it on that made-up national guard retirement thing but it is indeed telling and says how they feel about wholesome men in their own lives.

said this before but again: cisgendered suburban moms and grandmas who don't really "get it" have done more for trans rights by knocking on doors for normie Dems like Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris than all the very on-line trans anarchists and leftists posting and not going outside.
I seriously wonder if some of the accounts on here that are supposedly trans people are actually trans, or if they’re paid trolls trying to sow hostility between trans people & non-trans people who want to be trans-allied. Because if they’re really trans, wow, they are hurting their own cause.

I often think about how Dr. King or Harvey Milk could live through the world they lived in and not give up hope of a better world, and what right do I have? one set back and I get weary? I will carry on for 100 years if I have to and they'll never take the dream of a better world away from me.
I wouldn't tell anyone else how to think or feel, but I will just say that, for me, the only way to stay sane after the 2024 election has been to pretty much abandon hope. The US is cooked. Everything I value about it is doomed. We're heading into a long period of dissolution & chaos.
