Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent.

Opportunities are everywhere.

Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

It’s important to know that a lot of productive activity is happening in person and offline, too.

Not all of it can be broadcast online, but we’ve had hundreds of people showing up to our trainings, mobilizations, and more.

Keep going. Tyranny is eroded by a sea of small acts. Everything matters.

"California paid in a lot more [to the federal government] than it got back — $83 billion in total. So did Washington state and much of the Northeast. Most red states were in the reverse position, getting much more from DC than they paid in return."

The #GreatTwitterWalkoff can also be the #GreatMetaWalkoff.

Let’s do it simultaneously and show our power.

President Jimmy Carter’s memorial service was today at the National Cathedral near where I live in DC. This seems like an apt quote when I think about his amazing legacy. We should all live our lives like this.

Trump’s nominees for health leadership roles profit off the unregulated & lucrative wellness industry.

RFK Jr. (& Calley Means), Mehmet Oz, Jay Bhattacharya, Dave Wheldon, & Marty Makary are dangers to global health.

They will cause irreparable harm.

ABC, NBC & CBS dedicated about 16 minutes of airtime last night to the California wildfires without once mentioning climate change.

Since the news failed do it's job, here's a short summary of the role of climate change and wildfire risk:

Wildfire climate connection
Climate change, including increased heat, extended drought, and a thirsty atmosphere, has been a key driver in increasing the risk and extent of wildfires in the western United States during the last ...

Dems show up every day to get an atomic wedgie and get their lunch money stolen. Trying to think back through 80s movies for possible solutions. Wax on, wax off, Hakeem
Get used to this playbook again, America

1) Trump says something outrageous/stupid/dangerous

2) Dems say, "Geez that thing Trump said was outrageous/stupid/dangerous"

3) Fox News hits Dems for "melting down" while minimizing the outrageous/stupid/dangerous thing Trump said

The rule of old goes beyond protecting the economic interests of the old at expense of the young. Younger people will also be cannon fodder for upcoming wars. Sadly, the generations that knew the pain of global wars have died off, and with them, the warnings about the horrors of such conflicts
Second term of the president-elect doesn't depict rule of law or a United America but rather a rule of power and we all know power corrupts.

But how corrupt can the US and China become under a rule of older men? Men many generations older than the people they are supposed to serve. A rule of old.

The best thing you can do is starve Meta for revenue. Never click on or buy anything through their ads. Never pay for an ad to sell a product or advertise an event. Never do anything again that will put one cent in Mark Zuckerberg's pocket!

Los Angeles received just 0.16 inches of rain since May 2024, the second-driest period on record.

Wildfires are now engulfing the city in January.

But some politicians still claim the climate crisis is a "hoax" as they do the bidding of Big Oil.

What planet are they living on?

Is it worth 20 MINS a day to proactively recruit and bring your friends, neighbors, relatives, businesses, anyone who is or could be a user, to @bsky.app?

If Bluesky ends up with more users than the others, you destabilize musk, zuck, trump.

Toxic floods of lies on social media platforms like Facebook have destroyed trust not fact checkers. Let me reiterate: Mark Zuckerberg has never cared about that and never will.
"We're going to get rid of fact-checkers and replace them with community notes, similar to X, starting in the U.S," Mark Zuckerberg announces

He asserts that "the fact-checkers have just been too politically biased, and have destroyed more trust than they've created, especially in the U.S."

When will someone finally create an AI-driven platform that optimizes for happiness? I may spend less time and click less, but it will have my trust, which is probably much more valuable (looking at you, LinkedIn and BlueSky)

Social media platforms that optimize for engagement (because that’s how they monetize users) have the same motivation cancer cells have in human bodies: expand at all costs, pull in any resource they can. They also shut down any defense mechanisms that could limit this growth
