So are we all still making plans/goals/dreams for the future? Or what? Because my husband told me about a trip he wants to take in May and my brain cannot think more than 2 days in advance right now. Are we even gonna still be here in May??

This is honestly the best thing we can do as therapists right now. Just validate everyone having a completely normal reaction to a completely not normal situation
I appreciate that my therapist’s attitude now is “things are completely out of control, inhumane, and in a state of collapse and if you are reacting in a way that demonstrates that you understand the gravity, that is the most normal reaction of all.”

I absolutely understand and appreciate the importance of art during these “unprecedented” times, but I also feel a type of way about watching rich celebrities dressing up to celebrate themselves while the world is actively & quickly burning down for the rest of us…
