What is the point of student loans?
It's not to pay for Education, we managed perfectly fine without them for 50 years.
No it is a tax to stop you retiring early so you have to keep working and working for them, making them massive profits.

Nearly 40% of the land in the UK is held by Lords and individuals who have held it for over 500 years since they seized it without paying for it.
The French had the same problem, but they solved it in 1799 by having a Revolution and taking it all back.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social on the subject on new towns, there's one near Dorchester called Poundsbury, that King Charles was involved in. A factory worker like myself would never, ever be able to afford to live there. That said, I wouldn't want to. It's a soulless awful place with zero community.
