One time I was eavesdropping on a Red Walking Tour (you know the ones) and the guy was talking about an underground tunnel connecting the Bodleian Library to the RadCam and a tourist scoffed at him and called bullshit and I got to swoop in like “no that’s real do you want to see photos”
I'm sure they got a much better tour than the catchpenny tourist-trap efforts, and I hope they gave you a handsome tip.

The most stressed out I've ever been about Christmas was when I was 16 and I got my first ever job, working at M&S in Dundrum. As soon as I started I kept hearing these myths about the Christmas Eve Waste Sale, where all the food that wasn't sold on the 24th was marked down 90%.

'On the "bitter cold" Christmas Day of 1830, Mary Ann Macham arrived in North Shields, the northern English fishing port that would become her unlikely home; the endpoint of a 4,000-mile journey filled with fear, courage and a superhuman determination to be free.'

I’m reminded of watching two old ladies ask a teenage goth for directions and she politely told them and when she was out of earshot one lady said “You know where you are with a goth”

Be weird.

Happy Winter Solstice ❄️

Make sure to get outside today, make use of every bit of daylight we have and when the night comes, know that tomorrow will be that little bit lighter 🙌🏻

So what does a 'whole society' response to rearmament entail?

Great Britain has done it before, it can do it again, it's a matter of will & consistency. /1

The Oxenham Arms pub in South Zeal, Devon, boasts the unusual distinction of having been constructed by 12th Century monks around a prehistoric standing stone.

If you’re lucky and visit at the right time of day, as I did today, you might also see it being recharged with sacred energy by the sun.
