Many of the White House candidates for high level positions in the Federal government come across as badly qualified for the jobs they are seeking.

If they all happened to be Black, I wonder if they’d instead be rejected as incompetent DEI hires?

It takes curiosity to learn. It takes courage to unlearn.

Learning requires the humility to admit what you don't know today. Unlearning requires the integrity to admit that you were wrong yesterday.

Learning is how you evolve. Unlearning is how you keep up as the world evolves.

Trump is an extremely dangerous man--stupid, vindictive, fixated on payback for his enemies. This country will be lucky to survive him.

Conservatives have gotten so accustomed to using Christianity as en excuse for their personal prejudices that it is so discombobulating when Jesus's words are used *against* those same personal prejudices.

They let you have guns to give you the illusion of freedom.

Guns don't stop tyranny. Ask any black person if their guns have stopped the systematic oppression of black people or police violence.

Real freedom is protected by just laws & equality, not guns. The government always has bigger guns.

If a plea for kindness and empathy makes you furious, you might be a sociopath.

Those present at the inauguration were mostly (if not all) white, rich, and males wearing ties. Trump’s core supporters were left out in the cold.
