Not true. Babis is parroting the Moscow narrative that is taken up by all the Kremlin's allies and useful idiots in Europe. The 2022 Istanbul meeting is well documented. They weren't very close to a deal and it was finally scuppered when all the Bucha massacres came to light.

Behind Russia’s victory narrative in Ukraine is a system under strain. To fight back, the ‘middle powers’ must work harder on their own story

That Feb. 24, 2022, I hosted virtually a guest speaker, who was working for the UN in Lebanon. She was late because of a meeting due to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. I will never forget that guest lecture. And here we are, almost 4 years after, and the war on Ukraine continues to rage.

Zelensky: Ukrainian intelligence uncovered a $12 trillion dollar deal between Russia and the US, which Putin proposed to Trump.

Now, Trump declaring that he’s giving “both sides” 4 months to end “the war” (aka Russian war against Ukraine). The “or else” is likely US withdrawal of aid to Ukraine
