#Allston-Brighton
Senator Brownsberger, who lives in Belmont but also represents Allston-Brighton, played a key role in blocking the Mayor’s plan for residential tax relief.
Senator Rush has proposed an amendment that mirrors Mayor Wu’s home rule petition for residential tax relief — a proposal that Senator Collins prevented from being debated and voted on for over a year.

That an other amendments are being considered in an 11th hour scramble.

State Senator (and President pro Tempore) Will Brownsberger played a key role in keeping bills from open floor discussions & votes, even though he represents Allston & Brighton, at least they are in his district.
How he represents those residents is another matter.
@gintautasd.bsky.social today: “None of them Mayor Wu’s.”

However one feels about Mayor Wu’s tax relief plans, Senator Nick Collins bears responsibility for repeatedly obstructing Wu’s proposals from being debated and voted on. With respect — and I mean that, Senator Collins, facts are facts.

I had an office at the BU photonics center in grad school, basically walked across the alley to the back door at the Dugout when Billy still ran it. Lived in Allston/Brighton and spent a lot of time at the Sil and Castlebar.
