looking up "anisotropy", the first image looks like what @jefferyharrell.bsky.social has been creating for Qwen3

After a lot of tinkering, I finally have a good-quality map of the Qwen 3 4B Instruct 2507 vocabulary as taken from the center of the cloud. If you look at the density map you can see the black hole cluster dominating the sky. Mask out the 13 black holes and we find there's still an overdensity.

See below for the story so far. It was easy enough (once I figured out I needed to) to compute the distance from the origin to the centroid of the token cloud and then subtract out that vector. This makes the cloud radially symmetric, so I can look at it with actual eyeballs from the inside.

The other aspect, the use of Alcoa X-2020 Al-Li alloy is also interesting. X-2020 is a first generation Al-Li alloy, at the moment they're up to generation 3 alloys, which fix some of the problems of early versions, like poor toughness and anisotropy.

A new electron microscopy technique enables imaging of atomic vibrations in specific directions, providing detailed insights into vibrational anisotropy in functional materials at the atomic scale. doi.org/g9359z
Researchers are first to image directional atomic vibrations
Researchers at the University of California, Irvine, together with international collaborators, have developed a new electron microscopy method that has enabled the first-ever imaging of vibrations, or phonons, in specific directions at the atomic scale.

Physbones and colliders ported over from the previous project, hopefully without incident.

I fixed a couple texture issues in Substance, but didn't end up building a pathing map for anisotropy in Poiyomi as it (gasp) doesn't accept one. 🤦‍♂️

I could probably start testing now TBH
OK, we're in Unity now, materials set up and file structure reimported.

What I need to do next:
-Add some animation shapekeys in Blender.
-Rebuild gold mask in Substance.
-Rebuild facial expression animation clips in Unity.
-Rebuild Physbones (likely just copy them from the v3 project).

What’s special about MouseX DW-ALLEN?
1 - It's aligned with the Allen Brain Atlas by @alleninstitute.bsky.social for anatomical consistency
2 - Includes male and female mouse data
3 - Designed for diffusion metrics like Fractional Anisotropy (FA) & Mean Diffusivity (MD)

6 is an amazing number for constructing larger numbers that are quick and easy to intuitively subdivide. E.g. 24 hours in a day (4,6,8,12 all subdivide it) or 360 degrees in a circle. Also hexagons are very convenient for tiling the plane with low anisotropy.

IMO 8 and 9 are worse, maybe even 5.

Nice! Too hard to read the PDF on my phone, so: if the infall is anisotropic the backsplash orbits will also be anisotropic. So this by itself might. lead to an anisotropy at relatively large radii (certainly beyond R200 but not 3xR200). Thoughts?
